Looking back on our bizarre 2020 year the thing that stands out most for me is how incredibly resilient our Primary children have been. Their worlds have been literally turned upside down but they have taken all the changes in stride. During some of our most difficult moments these faithful primary kids have helped to be a positive and happy force in their families by looking at the bright side and reminding us that through it all we still have needed to laugh. In the heart of Covid we held an outdoor Christmas festival instead of our usual Christmas breakfast. My favorite part of the evening was getting to see almost all of my Primary friends in person which was something that had not happened for months. As I was talking to one of the children, she looked at me and said, “Isn’t this the best day ever!” Shouldn’t we feel as if each day is the best day ever? I think 2020 has reminded us all to look at each day differently and remember those things and people that make our days wonderful.
