2020 history
Certainly, 2020 was a memorable, very unusual year for all of us. We more fully realized the reasons behind the prophet’s recent revelations concerning changes to ministering and a more home-centered church. With no church meetings for a few months, the Elder’s Quorum encouraged our members to have sacrament meetings and second hour meetings at home. For homes that needed help, we reached out through ministering to serve our neighbors and friends.
Regardless of these changes, we realize it is up to each of us to strive to live a Christ-centered life as well as helping our families and loved ones do so also.
Cordel Anderson: Elders Quorum President (first half of 2020)
2020 was a year filled with lots of adapting and changes. On top of the changes caused by the pandemic and moving to online meetings, we also saw a change in the Elders Quorum Presidency. Greg Summerhays was called as the President with Randy Christensen as 1st Counselor, John Springer as 2nd Counselor, and Matt Wood as Secretary. We also added Harmony Hills, an assisted living center, to our ward and ministry. As more residents move in, there will be a branch formed to better serve the residents.
